Summary: Sheppard took a step forward, reaching out with his fist. Frowning, David held his own hand out, palm up, and Sheppard let his fist open. A set of dog-tags tumbled onto David’s palm, mimicking the fall his heart took. David stared at the metal and drew in a shuddering breath. “How?”
