Um, hello. *waves*

I'm usually a lurker, but thought I'd come out of lurkdom to introduce myself a bit and say I'm really enjoying all the fics here. I was just recently converted to the awesomeness that is Lorne and I'm so glad to have found this community and all the wonderful stories. :D

Part of my reason for delurking is to ask (and hope I'm not breaking any rules, but since it says in the com info that introducing oneself is ok, I thought it might be ok to ask while introducing myself) if there is some place specific I could ask for a beta, or if someone here might want to? A couple of the challenges for this month caught my eye, and I figure having a beta would improve my first attempt.

ETA: Does anyone know the time frame for Coup d'Etat? I'm wondering specifically how long Lorne and his men were missing. I watched the ep several times but haven't quite been able to figure it out.

I don't know of any where specific you can ask for a beta, but I'd be willing to do it if you want.
I think the Coup d'etat time frame is only a couple of days, Lorne and his men don't look too untidy when they're rescued, and I asume it would only take a couple of hours to bring the bodies back and then to do an autopsy.

As for Coup D'Etat, I'd say the whole thing lasted less than a week and from the time Lorne's team was taken until the warehouse blew was likely around 48 hours.

But that is just me guessing.

Second, good question on beta's... I have seen other comms or groups frown on asking for beta help...NOT here. If it’s for any Lorne fic I seriously have no problem & will add that within the rules so other new comers will know ;-)

Third, like everyone mention in canon I don’t think it was long within a weeks time, but if your bunny wanted Lorne & his men to be held longer? I say go for it… you have the power & let your muse guide you ;-) Just add a note in the header to the readers that you’re going to deviate from the episode canon timeframe & most important have FUN!

Hello! I'd love it if you would beta for me. Fair warning though, it's my first fic(let). It's finished and I'm just looking for someone to say yay or nay if it works, if it's understandable (which is what I guess a beta does anyway:). Is your email in your user info and is it ok to email it to you later? I have to run off to work now.

And yup, a couple of days does help. That seems to be what people think and it's what I thought as well, it's just that Ladon Radim said something really close to 'we've been taking samples for quite some time now' and I believe he was referring to Lorne and his men.

Yup, my bunny is bouncing around me saying it needs longer than a day or two, especially since Radim said something like 'we've been taking samples for some time now' to Sheppard and then the scene cut to show Lorne and his men. *shrugs* I'll put a note in the header like you say if I get this thing written, which I really want to do.

I've got it, and the .doc type file is fine. I'll probably go through it tonight.
