October Challenge Mission Briefing (please do not repost on bulletin boards)

Okay folks - I'm back on board and jonesing for more fics, wallpapers, artwork, and icons!!! It'd be great to see a really big push for our last week of October. So, I thought I'd remind everyone I've promised a goodie to everyone completing a fic for every prompt. That's only 31 fics, ficlets, drabbles, manips, or icons. Really, guys, I'm easy (ask anyone who knows me or those three Klingons in the bar in Denver - shut up, Elaine!!) Anyway, where was I?

Oh yeah - goodies! I know I'm asking a lot, so I thought instead of one goody, you guys deserve a bunch of goodies!! In fact, a goody bag. Or in the case of having to post it through US mail, a goodie box.

The Goodies:
- For starters, I have three 8x10 set pics of Lorne I purchased at Dragoncon...I'll throw in colour copies of those.
- I also have an 8x10 team pic with Ford, I could throw that in as well as an 8x10 of Sheppard and Caldwell on the bridge of Daedalus that is to die for. Again, I only have one of the originals, so these would be high-quality colour copies.
- And, if you're interested, I could add the pic of Cliff Simon in which he is nekked but posed strategically (damn!).
- A box of JellyBellies from my hotel.
- AND a copy of my video footage from Dragoncon, about three hours of mostly Kavan stuff, on DVD or VCD, your preference. It has three of the SGA panels, Kavan and Cliff Simon's panel, footage from the Walk of Fame autograph sessions, some of the costumes, and some crazy stuff, too, like Gary Jones saying "I'm receiving SG-11's IDC", Cliff Simon running across the floor to give me the nekked pic of himself. I'll even throw in a CD of the screencaps I've made from the footage.

Does that sound like incentive enough to get you write a few drabbles??

I'm open to suggestions on anything else to add, money is tight for me right now, (I have access to all the above stuff so it really won't cost me anything) but again - if you've got suggestions on what will get your little fingers flying, I'm all ears. I'm trying to get a banner done for those completing all 31 prompts.

So - submissions are always accepted - although I'll make a cut off of Nov 1 at midnight to qualify for the goodie box. That gives an extra day to wrap up the last prompt.

If you've posted a fic that I missed, now is the time to let me know, that's the majority of the reason I've posted the breakdown. I want to give everyone the proper credit due!


ETA: Just to be clear - I will send a box of the above goodies to every single person completing all 31 prompts. So even if all you did was write a drabble for every prompt, and even if you haven't written anything yet, that'd mean you'd only be 3100 words away from the DC footage, the pictures, the jellybellies, everything!

So, have I enticed you to write-manip-icon-draw-or-drabble more yet? If not, what can I do to lure you in.......

How does that work for us manip/iconers? I mean I did 37 Lorne-related icons and 11 Ronon ones.

Do you want to have a different requirement for us? Or do you want this to strictly be for writers? Just curious as you mention drabbles but then also mention the artists.

Hmmm - that's a good question. I guess as long as they are related to the prompts, it's all good!

Woohoo!!! I'm in the lead. Take that Hope! LOL :D Also the incentives are great. THREE HOURS OF KAVAN SMITH!!!! My little heart may just explode with fannish joy. This week's been crazy (there are about four things I should be doing right now) and I didn't think I would manage them all, but I'm going to have to try extra hard now. :)

ahhh..cool! I don't think I could motivate my muse to pump out that many fics so quick. I'm so in the con mindset right now cause I'm going to NJ next week. If there's another challenge in the near future like this you better believe my muse will be cracking the whip. ;)
