Hello everyone. First post here, but the lovely [livejournal.com profile] ria_kukalaka recc'd some of my fics (this is actually another one in that... I guess you have to call it series) and [livejournal.com profile] denyce36 asked me to join and write/post more. This is me writing and posting.

Title: The View From Afar, part 1
Characters: Rodney/Lorne with appearances from Laura Cadman, Daniel Jackson, Jack O'Neill, Elizabeth Weir and Hank Landry
Word Count: 2,666
Rating: PG-13
Summary: The beginning of a beautiful relationship... sort of. Follows Save it for Tomorrow, Seeing Red and Take One and Call Me in the Morning.
Author's Notes: I can actually blame this one on someone else as well. [livejournal.com profile] denyce36 mentioned that maybe Laura Cadman is Lorne's best friend and I had this line in my head that went something like Laura going 'There's my best gay' and it wouldn't stop. Tried to write the whole thing at once, but it looks like it's going to take more than one post.

The View From Afar, part one

I wrote Very Cool and [livejournal.com profile] ria_kukalaka replied:

Now I want the next hundred words :D

So I wrote this:

Lorne looked over his handiwork, taking in the long lines of John’s body, the lean muscle over his tall frame, the taper of his back and hips.

Lorne drew out his inspection, enjoying the position of dominance. He was taking his time and it was taking a toll on John.

“Got the safe word?” he asked.

Sheppard nodded.

“Say it,” Lorne ordered sharply.

“Kryptonite,” John grinned.

Lorne crouched beside the bed, his mouth close to John’s neck, and spoke low and quiet.

“The next time you say it, we stop.”

John shuddered at the promise of intent in Lorne’s warning.

I wrote Very Cool and [livejournal.com profile] larian replied:

And how does Lorne ...you know, test him further?

so this is for [livejournal.com profile] larian

Silent.

The order had been to be silent. Not a sound, no matter what.

John bit into his lips as soft frays of leather trailed down his back until they snapped sharply across his ass. He breathed into the mattress, biting the sheets to stifle his groan.

The sting of the crop again and his bindings stretched taut as he strained against them.

A third time.

He whimpered, a single quiet sound muffled by the damp fabric beneath him.

“Now, now, now…what did I say?” Lorne tsked. “Not a sound. Now we’re going to have to start all over again.”
