I really tried to finish this earlier but the neighbor's flooded their house (we live in a duplex) and so we had 4 inches of water to deal with in the basement. (Yes, it's finished--bathroom, 3 bedrooms etc...) BUT...Here is the first part of the story....

Author's Notes:

miriel had something similar planned awhile ago (an SGA/LotR crossover with Lorne as one of the key SGA characters), I'm just using the basic idea of having Lorne enter Middle Earth through the Stargate. After that, any similar things are purely coincidental. And though it really shouldn't be necessary, this story is totally AU from Tolkien canon, it does not follow any particular timeline in SGA or Tolkien so don't worry about Théodred meeting Lorien elves when it never happened in the books.

First offering is some screen caps from No Man's Land. (One of my fave Lorne eps!)

I'm posting them now since the fic is not *quite* finished and hasn't been beta'd yet...I will post that later in the afternoon.

I got these screencaps a long time ago, they still have the SciFi logo on them. I didn't edit them at all since I figured that anyone taking them for icons or what have you would rather do that themselves. So...on to my scrapbook for 15 pages of Captain!Lorne.

I thought this holiday season, it might be nice to go back and look at some older stories most of which were written before Evan's first name was known. Back then, the slash community used Nick as the fanonical first name for Lorne while the het community prefered Marcus; some fans, of course, just did their own thing and some didn't use a first name at all.

I have for you, a fic rec post. A lot of these are older fics as I've kind of drifted out of the fandom recently. But I still love Lorne, and there is no reason why older fics aren't as good as new ones!
