PIMP your pairing =)

Hi, so I had this idea - stolen from smallfandomfest, who has pimp your fandom each round. The idea is to introduce a fandom, who pairs who & where to do find the fic. For us it'll be pairings. Each month we'll dedicate to a pairing -note some smaller pairings will be shared with other pairings. The goal is to introduce and celebrate highlight a pairing.

NOTE: This is not an invitation to bash or dish on any other pairing at any time, period! I started Slashing_lorne because I wanted a place to highlight my love of Lorne, but in no way was it to bash McShep. So let’s be grown-ups, and enjoy each month and each pairing that’s highlighted. If you’re not open to a different pairing then politely just scroll pass any entry that isn’t your pairing. If it’s your pairing, you can post why the pairing works for you, post a pic spam, post your favs recs, what you must reads fics are etc…. It’s an opportunity to nicely say why someone should maybe give your pairing a chance.

If a particular pairing has a separate comm group - I sent out an invites to Mods of different pairing comms (if I missed you, please let me know there is an open invite to all slash Lorne comms to participate), to let them know and if they'd like to open their own challenge on their comm – to generate fic, recs, discussion of their pairing- to create the challenge in any way they see fit, with a deadline on the month they chose. Where members then can x-post any fics, art, pics etc on their highlighted month. If you’re not a member of the comm of the highlighted pairing, and would rather not join the comm... No worries, you are welcomed to post on any given day within the month the pairing is highlighted. To add your own take of why you love that pairing, your recs, offer a fic etc, whatever you’d like to share.

This goes double if you have a Lorne pairing that you love and adore, but there is no comm. Here’s an opportunity to find other fans of the pairing, to introduce that pairing, and what people might be missing – let writers know there is an audience (you!) for that pairing, how you’d adore if they gave your pairing a chance. For smaller pairings one month we will celebrate all misc SGA pairings ie: Lorne/Chuck, Lorne/Ford, Lorne/Beckett etc. Another month will highlight SG1 pairings: Lorne/Cam, Lorne/Daniel, Lorne/Jack etc… same with Xover pairings, and 3-4some pairings.

So over the course of the next 10 months everyone should have a chance to post something, to highlight/introduce their pairing. At the end of each month I hope to have a masterlist of recs, then a grand masterlist at the end of the year.

April- Lorne/Parrish
May- Lorne/McKay
June- Lorne/ALL misc Xover pairings ie Lorne/Colby, Lorne/Dean Winchester

August- 3-4somes
September- Kavanagh
October- Lorne/ALL misc SG1 pairings (ie: Lorne/Cam, Lorne/Jack etc...)
November- Lorne/Zelenka

Nope, its probably me. Your pairing is listed under the heading of SG1 misc pairings, ie: Lorne/Cam, Lorne/Daniel, Lorne/Teal'C etc... Picking a month is open to first come first serve by an individual or a comm. There is no actual challenge except by the comm of a pairing if they chose. If you'd like to rec something for Lorne/Cam, create fic, art or whatever - even just talking about Lorne /Cam why you love them as a pairing/why they work for you - you pick a month that's available. When that month rolls around you can post whatever you want during that month that's Lorne/Cam related and anyone else who is interested in Lorne/Cam, or another SG1 slash Lorne pairing they can do the same. It'll be a month that will highlight them. A Month where I'd cheer anyone to post any SG1 slash Lorne pairing ♥

i know there is a misc SG! pairing already but can I please ask for another one in may cause I would love pimp my paring of Major's Davis and Lorne (as in our favorite Pentagon Desk Wonk Major Paul Davis and our favorite Atlantis 2IC Major Evan Lorne who started his life at the SGC. (Could also come over as a crossover) )

I would love to do this in either may or november. There arn't that many stories but I have found three that are sweet. (Even if one of them is needing a beta)

Actually he'd fall under the umbrella of SG1 misc and its been slated for Oct. Though rubygirl29 picked the month where she'll be posting her fav Lorne/Cam- the entire month of Oct is open to ALL SG1 misc characters not just Lorne/Cam. So you can post recs, pics etc on Lorne/Davis. Just as I hope others will pimp Lorne/Jack, Lorne/Daniel, or whoever their fav Lorne/SG1 slash pairing is. Hope Oct works for you :)

Sorry I missed this, & you got it! No worries, you won't be alone besides it really is a low key challenge/pimp - I think it'll be more apparent on how to play by the time May rolls around. & yay! for Lorne/McKay they're one of my favorites ;)
