Neither non-con or dark fic are my thing, but there was just something about this piece that called to me.
I think what it was was seeing Lorne in that role. While he's shown leading, he's not always shown as a leader. The images I have seen of the Lorne character always have his face either blank or smiling. He doesn't seem threatening to me.
