Hiya...

Yes the very bad Mod returns... so what's new?

Our paid account expired and I went ahead & let it lapse for 2 reasons: 1) all the recent problems/instability of LJ/6A & the TOS changes 2) The main reason I originally paid for a paid account was so we could have our own layout. Though maeluiril did work on one rl has kept her far too busy and sadly no one but the mods got to see her work. Anyways, the point is the paid account has expired as of this morning, and I honestly have no intention of renewing it---BUT this doesn't mean I wouldn't like a new layout. In fact, though I didn't advertise it, I DID create a slashing_lorne over on Insane Journal and DO plan to purchase the community as a permanent paid account (financial fingers-crossed) later this month. At only $40 I believe it's worth it. I'm also hoping to post fic and start fresh creating/organizing tags creating a master list separated by pairing/genre (slash/gen/threesome-moresome—possible link of het fics) on the IJ group http://asylums.insanejournal.com/slashing_lorne/profile

At a later date, I will probably create a backup of slashing_lorne on journalfen. Though at this time I have no problems with IJ or GJ, the reality is they are not that far different from LJ and like LJ their TOS could change--with Journalfen created by and for fanfic 'slasher' fans I'd be very happy to support them.

That said, if you have an account over on IJ please go and join us there. In the meantime I'd like your permission to archive the fics already posted here--either by reposting them on IJ (it'd be nice to have a back-up) with your addy for fb, or most likely just permission to post a link for a master list backing to your fic (either on another journal/personal web site or an archive).... Though nothing will be done without your permission!!

My ultimate goal is to have a back up of all the Lorne fic posted here. If your fic is already backed up on separate archive please lmk with a link to your page and we can use that link. Or if you don’t want your fic-backed up/archive on IJ, then I’d like to highly encourage you to house your fic on an established archive if it isn’t already. Two archives I fully support and use have post all my SGA fics there are: 1) Full House Story Archive: http://www.fhsarchive.com/autoarchive/index.php 2) Wraithbait: http://www.wraithbait.com/

Both archives allow all ratings/fictional pairings/genre (this includes het, so if you have a Lorne het fic, yes I’d like to know so I can add the link in the master list)

Again the back up only really works if its really a back up--meaning your fic archived either on a different journal than LJ or housed on a private archive/web site.

OK let me know your thoughts… have your links, permission to start working on this…

I say go for it. I don't have any other versions of my LJ but I don't mind my fics being posted in the other one.

You can back-up anything I've posted here to whatever back-up site you decide on. Also, I am in the process of posting my fic over at FHSA(which is now called the Fandom Haven Story Archive and accepts het and gen as well as slash), when I get my stuff up over there I will provide a link.

Yeah, she's working on changing the graphics so it'll change soon. She's housing everything except HP and underage so she's changing the name to reflect that.
