Disability Fic

Hey there, was just wondering if anyone knew of any fics in which Lorne is disabled (either having to leave Atlantis or remaining there afterwards) or where Lorne/Ronon fics where Ronon is disabled?

I've found a few John & Rodney ones, but no Lorne (or Ronon) ones so this is probably a longshot but I figure if anyone will know then it'll be you guys.

ETA: Mods - I just noticed that we apparently can't add tags to our posts, is there a reason for that?

I can't help you with recs, but I'm having a problem with the tags too. The ones I added aren't visible on my fics anymore, even the ones I posted last year.

Very odd, I noticed a pairing tag that I was sure I'd used didn't bring up the fic (and I'm pretty sure I tagged it). Perhaps the mods have been making changes and things have got muddled up? o.O

Yeah, that's exactly what happened with my fics, so I went to edit the post, to check if the tag was there, and it was. It's just not visible to the comm :-/

That's really strange, I just found one of mine (from Dec 09) and it's the same thing, no tag showing but it's there when I hit edit. o.O Something odd is going on.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe they've accidentally clicked on a setting so that only tags added by the mods are visible.

Maybe. Can you do that? I know you can set it so only mods can add tags, but I dunno about only showing mod-added ones. *shrugs*.

I'm writing a couple at the moment with disabled!Lorne as a semi-focus, was just really hoping to find something long and plotty. If I do find any though then I'll definitely post the links.

Nope tags have been turn off for a while. Initially it was to go back and fix all of the old tags- some work was done, but obviously it was stalled- though there was no deadline. I'll go through and tag for the fest and add authors who are claiming. Otherwise I'll mull it over whether I want to take on the job and organize tags myself, or just screw it and open it again O_o

Fandom wise I have a lot on my plate with 3 bigbangs coming up, several bingo cards- plus yes I will write 1-2 snips here- so yes lots to consider ;)

Ah, I see, there's quite a bit of work involved in that. I did all the tags for the primeval comm that I mod on last year and that was hard work enough (we don't have challenges/fests or anything like that over there either so that made it easier - just pairing, genre, character, post type), though once I got in the flow & figured out what I wanted to do with them it wasn't so bad.

Yikes, lots on your plate then with all those BBs and bingos (I'm terrible with deadlines so I tend to avoid them).

It was just very confusing to want to add them and not be able to. I think you're probably creating more work for yourself having them turned off though, because I think it's easier to (re)organise them (renaming or moving them to a different tag etc) than it is to have to go through and tag months worth of untagged posts that aren't obvious without reading what they should be tagged as.

Still not found any, it's slightly sad making that he seems to have been ignored in that respect (but then I guess people are busier creating angst & whumping on John & Rodney).

As I mentioned above, I'm working on two separate ideas, hopefully they will get finished o.O (my problem is that I have too many bunnies demanding to be written that my muse bounces around between them lol).

I will definitely rec any good ones, should I find any, over here.

Let me try and find one I vaguely remember...it was an "Earth never sent help" AU with events otherwise being similar and as I recall, Lorne had recovery issues after the stimulants given to the marines and airmen during Tabula Rasa (and other characters had had various things happen to them as well). It was very long and plotty--not Lorne focused, but very good as I recall. I have no idea where I ran into it. I'll try to track it down.
