Hi~

So I went ahead and tackled tags, I'm not done, but yay! I made a healthy dent. This includes going back into the archive, and yikes that’s been madness- though very exciting to see so much Lorne fic, and I hate to say it a ton of fic I’ve forgotten or seemed to have missed.

Anyhoo, I've tried to keep it simple- author: artist: pairings: (note- I stuck with only SGA pairings, any Xover pairing is listed as Lorne/other and tagged xover) I might change this later, but not until I’ve finished going through the entire archive. Atm we have 105 tags- again it’s not that we don’t have the space to create more tags, but I’d like to create a simple but hopefully solid base before expanding to more complicated tags.

Some of the problems I came across…

Deadlinks, many of you have linked back to your lj, but since the original post have locked your journal making the fic inaccessible. If you are an author and you think you might have fallen into that category- I’d like to suggest you repost your fic here or to link it to an archive where it’s available- otherwise there is no point in tagging for a dead link. Once I finish going through the archive creating basic tags, I’ll be going back to check for any deadlinks where I’ll be untagging any that exist.

Please note: This also applies for posting any fic now- either post the entire fic here at the comm, or link back to your journal if it’s unlocked, or link to an archive (AO3, Wraithbait, WWMB etc)

Subject headers: Arg! so many blank subject headers. It’d be lovely if you use the subject line ie: FIC: Title (Lorne/ your pairing, rating), ART: (wallpapers, sketches etc Lorne/pairing, work safe or not) Please DO NOT put your coded name in the subject header (the lj symbolic name). It creates extra steps if I needed to edit/add tags if you forget, and after doing so many yesterday I would SO appreciate your effort!!

Tags are open for you to add to your post. You are only allowed to use what’s there, so if ie you’re a new and don't see an appropriate tag I’ll have to add your name it. I’ll add it as quickly as I can ((though please poke me if I fall behind)) If you've been here awhile, posted fic/art/recs, it'd be great if you checked your links and added tags yourself... If you have any thoughts/concerns about this just lmk ;) Otherwise go and check out the tags, have fun rediscovering old treasures ;)

Okay, I edited mine and put the actual story in the post, with a link to AO3 for the one not posted here. I locked my fic journal because I'm job hunting and paranoid about what Google might show. Once I'm safely employed again I'll open it up!

So as a general rule, we should tag out own posts with author and pairing at least?

I guess I need an author tag? Maybe?
