I feel a bit of explanation is needed for these two ficlets before I provide links to them. These are both for the same prompt and share some of the same ideas I had for the prompt. I wrote one, didn't know if I liked it, wrote another, wasn't too sure about it either, but my beta (thanks again partofthequeue2!) said post both. So I am. Hope that's not too confusing.
