*Dreamwidth anniversary celebration. Not really tentative as I do plan on poking people on DW slashing_lorne. The celebration starts in April for 3 three weeks you try to advertise DW shake up comms with activity, to showcase your comm. The main rule is you can only post (fic, art, graphics, etc) on DW during those 3 weeks after that time period anyone who participated can post to their LJ/LJ comms/archives etc. If you have a DW account & are not a member on slashing_lorne, go & join =)

*Pimp your pairings, Feb-Nov a different pairing each month (a low key challenge throughout the year as it’d only apply to you if it’s the month of your pairing =)
The thought is to celebrate a particular pairing, but the main goal is if it’s your pairing -to pimp out why people should be reading/writing this pairing. So I'm thinking for people to post recs, pic spams, give us their reasons why that pairing - why it works for them (not just because they're hot, but that works too). I'd also like to involve any pairing centric comm - invite them to pick a month possibly create their own challenge around the idea - to post new fic, recs, icons/graphics, pic spams etc. If you know of any comms that celebrate a pairing please lmk, I'd like to contact them, see if they'd be interested in creating a challenge around this idea. If you're reading this & you're a Mod; would like your comm to participate, particular month, lmk.

3-4 pairings Any SGA/SG1 characters het included as long as there is m/m ie: Lorne/Weir/Sheppard, Lorne/Sam/Mitchell
Xover characters (ie: Lorne/Tony DiNozzo (NCIS), Lorne/Dean Winchester (SPN)


**Mini BigBang min. length 10k May-Dec (writers May 1 – Aug 1 for drafts, ((2nd week of Aug artists pick)) Artists Sept 1 – Nov 20th)
It'd have to be Lorne centric (Slash, Gen, Xover, & Het if it’s within a 3-4some pairing). Okay so my thought is writers who sign up - I'll open another comm to join that will be closed, so we can openly encourage each other before the reveal – initial thought is either before/after 12 days, ie during the week after Xmas.

Ha either its me or LJ, but I've tried 3 times to create a poll - arg!!! Anyhoo drop a note if you're interested- I like to plan ahead, if there isn't enough interest I'll move on to something else =)

I cant see the poll. Not sure what I've done I have got it in to my journal style.

I know that this may seem odd but I would love to do a Lorne/Davis story. If we do a MBB I am sure i could think of a story to do.

Just to let you know I would be happy to do a Lorne MBB and I would participate as a writer.

I usually love a deadline and of course I love Lorne. I had a blast doing summer of Lorne last year. Although I expect to be busy, I think I'd like to sign up for some of these things :)

Pimp your pairings - interesting idea. I'd be on board to express my glee at the EPIC LOVE of Lorne and Parrish. However I need to express my concern at any wank this might generate in some kind of pairing war. I am barely surviving fandom wank in other places of this fandom I would hate for my safe haven to degenerate into a "my pairing is better than yours" battle.

No wank! I think we can be adults here, and for anyone who can't they can just leave! Definitely not something I'd stand for period! Once I have a schedule I'll post more about it, and how I expect people to behave - including reminders of respecting other pairings =)

Well said denyce. I love reading other parings. If I dont like a pairing I stay clear of it. Considering I have done parings containing Woolsey and Chuck and I so want to do a lorne/Davis pairing.

I have never and will never diss a pairing. Any comments I say have +ive feedback and comment.

Glad to hear that you are doing a MBB. Please dont make it too close as I have one to finish for Stargateland by the 27th Feb and I'm not really sure I can write two at once. LOL

I'm going to be contacting Mods of pairing comms to see if they'd like to run a challenge on a certain month to generate more activity for their pairing - so look for a post by the end of the month posting the schedule for pairing/month throughout the year to Nov
