Pairing of the Month Mini-Picspam/Mini-Meta

Hi everyone :)

I finally managed to find the time to do the representation of all the minor and/or non-existing pairings that involve Lorne. Since I actually only ship one of these, I'm asking you to help out each other and comment with lots and lots of recs.
Also I'm only using reccurring characters here. Just to avoid disapointment in case you ship Lorne/Kiryk or Lorne/Coughlin.
Also, expect fangirling, lots of fangirling and mention of pairings that are not involving Lorne(sacriliege, I know ;)

And now to the pretty(warning! very image-heavy):



There’s one big advantage when it comes to Lorne as a character: He can be paired with nearly everyone. Ronon for example wasn’t around for season one and hence Ronon/Grodin fics are by default AU. Yes, I know Lorne wasn’t around in season one either but he was already at SGC and all non-SGC characters are still around in season two when Lorne comes to Atlantis.
Most popular Lorne pairings are going to be covered in the months to come, therefore here’s a little picspam for all the characters Lorne is less often (or not at all) paired with:

Sergant/Agent Bates

I'm being shallow here but he has a beautiful smile and his no non-sense attitude would occasionally clash with Lorne's more relaxed approach but I bet Lorne's dry humour would bring out that beautiful smile (I ship him with Kavanagh btw)

Kenny, the Wraith

Todd's second in command. He and Lorne don't actually meet as far as we know but hey they could probably bond over being second in command to someone who likes to takes risks (yes, I'm shipping Todd/Sheppard :P)

Steven Caldwell

He's a badass, snarking spaceship captain just like Lorne. Plus he probably appreciates Lorne's profesionalism more than Sheppard's gung-ho attitude (but I ship him with Woolsey because they were so adorable together in 'First Contact')

Chuck

We don’t know that much about Chuck and he has barely any noticeable interaction with anyone but hey, he’s been around since season one and has an adorable smile.

Cowen

The Genii leader(well, at least for some time) and ...ugh...

Abraham Ellis

He has a tendency to eyeroll at Sheppard's plans, so he and Lorne could bond easily and be exaspearted together.

Peter Grodin

As mentioned above they could have met at SGC. From what we’ve seen of Peter he would have made a great off-world scientist (and no I’m not bitter that they killed him off, what makes you think that :p)

Carson Beckett

Not my cup of tea personally since I’m a Carson/Rodney girl but I can see the appeal. Lorne has a very dry sense of humour that would probably work very well with Carson. Also that conversation in Sunday was really cute.

Halling

With Teyla on Atlantis Halling is the de-facto leader of the Athosians and he has a son. Now raise your hand if you think Lorne would make an awesome dad....yeah, thought so. (I ship him with Kavanagh mostly because I read two fics about them)

Kanaan

No idea, honestly. I always thought he didn't have enough characterisation to ship with anyone (which includes Teyla btw since my het OTP in SGA is Lorne/Teyla)

Kemp

Lieutenant Kemp is actually the only member of Lorne's team that appears in more than one episode. Doesn't save him from being killed, though.

Michael Kenmore

Again, they never interact directly and pretty much everyone (me included) ships Michael with Teyla but I think, especially in MichaelStaysHuman fics because he's not directly involved Lorne could more easily become Michael's friend (Read one here)

Dave Kleinman

Actually I never considered this pairing before but there could be some awesome fic where they sneak around because of DADT ( or not, can you imagine Caldwell's face when he runs into Kleinman and Lorne snogging in some Daedalus corridor?)

Acastus Kolya

I'm pretty sure they would find something they have in common....eventually

Lucius Lavin

Hey, I only present, I don't judge

Markham

He's young and pretty and....please don't kill me, Stackhouse/Markham shippers?

Kevin Marks

I wasn't sure whether he was going to be covered in the sg-1 crossover month so here he is. Feel encouraged to state your own reasons why to ship him with Lorne

Miller

He seems to have a similar tolerance for McKay like Lorne(which is the reason why I ship him with Rodney), so they could bond over that.

Niam

Okay, this pairing is more likely if we include Replicator!Lorne but hey, Lorne is Lorne, right :)

Solen Sincha

He's Ronon's friend, Lorne's Ronon's friend...

Stackhouse

Before the Markham/Stackhouse shippers demand my head on a stake, this pairing has time to develop after Markham's death. He and Lorne are both team leaders and backup for Sheppard's team so there's plenty of opportunity for them to meet and become friends (and more after Stackhouse properly mourned Markham)

Steve, the Wraith

One of the few definitly AU pairings involving Lorne since Steve was never part of SGC and died before Lorne came to Atlantis.

Tyre

Because being a Wraithworshipper and trying to kill Ronon twice is so endearing ;)

Richard Woolsey

Because Woolsey is new to the madness that is Atlantis just like Lorne once was ( I still ship him with Caldwell, though)

Ladon Radim


Because nothing says 'I love you' like 'sorry, you'll end up as collateral damage for my coup'.
No, seriously, this is the Lorne/Minor character pairing that I absolutely adore. Can't tell you why but I do. I shipped them ever since I watched coup d'etat.

on the whole Grodin meeting thing, I'm fairly certain (though I could of just been seeing things, I wasn't allowed to go back and check because my friends didn't care that much...) that I saw him on the bridge of Prometheus in Grace (SG1 season 7(?)) (I think it was Grace).

So you never know they may have met...

also they say Sheppard is the space whore, from now on when i hear this i'm going to say "*cough* Have you met Lorne?" XD

Ok I know that I'm a little bit late for this but I was struggling with RL at the time. I like to ship him with someone that you havent mentioned. I like the idea of shipping Evan Lorne with Major Paul Davis, our favourite Pentagon desk wonk.

I feel that they would complement each other well and that Evan would be just what Paul would need as he would help him loosen up.

I did find one story with this pairing but I can't seem to find it now! :D
